Forms not importing properly

    Hi,

    just finishing our new charity theme and using Give plugin for donation pages. However, when I export xml file and import demo to another website it doesn’t import give forms featured images.

    Second problem is that if I use categories for the Give blocks I need to use a number. However, when the demo is imported to another website it doesn’t display forms cause the category doesn’t have the same number when imported.

    1. Is it possible to add just a category name or a slug instead of a number?
    2. Do u know why featured images are not imported with forms?

    1. That’s a good point about the category ids. That’s not currently possible, but I think that’s a good feature request and I’ll create an issue on that now.

    2. Regarding your import/export, what method are you using for that exactly? Just the default WordPress export? Or our Give tools? Please clarify a bit.

    Hi Matt,

    thank u for the answer. I’m using default WordPress export feature like with our older themes. Before I’ve never had this problem and featured images were exported and imported without problems.

    Hi Ana,

    We’ve been coordinating this offsite a bit. Looks like this is a known issue with CPTs and Featured Images. See here for a workaround:
