Forminator – Uncanny Automator / Twilio AJAX error

Do I correctly understand: the form submission is supposed to trigger Automator recipe upon submission and that only happens if form is set to not be loaded using Ajax, right?

This would mean that it’s related to the way Automator “detects” the form submission and I’m not sure how it does it as it’s a 3rd party plugin. Loading form via Ajax can help in many cases such as overcoming some caching or performance issues or just helping with “visual”/UX aspects but, technically speaking, it’s quite different from just a “regular” load so it’s quite possible that there would be a need for some additional custom “bridge” code that would “hook up” to both sides.

I just checked and I see they list Forminator on the list of their integrations but since it’s a 3rd-party premium plugin I don’t really have a way to test it or look into its code in order to better understand how this integration works.

If they could advice a bit more on how that integration is made (technically speaking – what hooks it uses or in what other way it “detects” form submission) we could look closer into it and see if there’s a workaround on our end or if they should refactor/improve their code.

Yes, after click “submit” button, a message seems “error” or “invalid form data”.

Automator support says that with page reloading setting it is working, just with ajax not.

I’m asking they now exact parameters and I’m sending to you soon.

Our plugin uses the ‘forminator_custom_form_submit_before_set_fields’ and the trigger is available in the free version of our plugin that is available in the WordPress repository. But I’m afraid they won’t be able to replicate the issue as it happens on your site only.Please make sure they correctly identify the issue before they start troubleshooting it. You can publish the test form that I created and share a link with them.

I do see a mention about sharing the test form in their response. Any specific page we should be looking in your given website for the test form?

Since your website isn’t in English, not sure I’m missing out on any specific page. is it the /contact page where you have the form?

Could you please share the direct page URL where the test form is added or mention the steps to access the page so that we could have a better idea.

My page and the wordpress language is english. Secondary language in the front-end only Hungarian.

It is not the contact form, it is the registration form for signup to my dance classes (https://www.bachatasensual.hu/registration) but I’m using that 0-24, i don’t want to interrupt that form, that’s why Automattor support created a draft page with a test recipe.

can I give you an access for check this draft and the whole problem? Or i can publish this draft page for you but i think you have to see the logs and everything on my back end.

where can i send credentials for you?

I am a bit confused as it looks like the page reload method is enabled under the behaviour tab of the form. Can you please re-verify the same?

I tested in above page that form and I was not able to replicate this error. Also form on that page does not look the same as form on /registration/ page which contain phone field. Can you update form on /test-created-by-uncanny-automator-support/ page?

i tested now. From firefox, from chrome, pc, from ios, from android.

This is a TEST field. Put a phone number and you will get an sms.

Can you please provide me a support? I filled out your support page but no answer. We are can get over this if you are not trying.

I added a mobile number and was able to submit the form, still can’t replicate the issue.

I am afraid, without replicating the issue at our end, we wouldn’t be able to help you with resolving the issue.

Can you please re-confirm if the from is set with Ajax?

Hello John!

I downloaded a plugin, name is Plugin Detective – Troubleshoot by Nsquared. It is very amazing. They are ask which part of the website has a problem and then start to interrogate every plugin. Few minutes and figured out that I had Advanced Google reCAPTCHA plugin – if I deactivate this, all AJAX error disappeared – even if I’m logged in or logged out. I think the problem cause that I setted up Google reCAPTCHA in Forminator too and this double check can be together alive when $currentlogin = true. BTW all my forms: contact, user registration, dance classes registration, login is with Forminator, with built-in Google reCAPTCHA so I don’t need this plugin so I could remove it.

Now SMS with Uncanny with Forminator it is working even if I’m logged in or logged out.
