    Hello Support Team,

I’m experiencing an issue with Forminator Forms on our website. The problem started suddenly last Thursday and affects the conditional logic functionality of our booking forms.

    Issue details:

    • Our booking forms are set up with conditional logic to show fields in a specific order.
    • The date field is supposed to be selected before other form fields become visible.
    • This conditional logic is no longer working as intended.
    • Fields that should remain hidden until a date is selected (such as the “Total Number of People.?*, Your Name as the Main Contact.?*” fields) are now visible by default.

Current behavior: Some form fields are visible from the start, regardless of whether a date has been selected or not.

Expected behavior: Only the date field should be visible initially. Other fields should appear only after a date is selected.

An example of how the form should look and function can be seen here: [https://lspr-education.com/picture-research-course/]

This issue is affecting multiple forms on our website, and manually editing each one to restore the correct behavior would be extremely time-consuming.

    Questions:

    1. What could be causing this sudden malfunction in the conditional logic?
    2. Are there any known issues or recent updates that might have affected Forminator Forms’ conditional logic?
    3. Is there a way to resolve this issue without having to edit each form individually?

Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. This is significantly impacting our booking process and needs to be resolved as soon as possible.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hi @lspr

    I hope you’re well today!

I visited the page with the issue and yes – I can see all the form fields there. Yet, there’s no any errors in browser console at all and the other form on the same site works fine.

So it’s something specific. It’s hard to say without checking the form though.

Was there any change made to the form (not necessarily about the conditional logic but some change in general) right before it started?

Could you share export of the form (the malfunctioning one) with us so we could check it – see how it’s configured and test it on a lab setup?

    To share form export:

    – go to the “Forminator -> Forms” page and click on a little “gear” icon next to the form in question
    – select “Export” option
    – copy provided code and paste it into https://pastebin.com
    – in your response below include link to that paste

Note: this will only include form configuration, all submitted data and your payment gateway credentials will NOT be included; they’ll stay safely on your site and we don’t need them anyway.

    Kind regards,
    Adam

    Hello Adam,

Thank you for your prompt response and for looking into this issue.

    Regarding your questions:

    1. Recent changes: Yes, there were changes made to the booking forms recently. Between the end of June and the first week of July, I added some form fields for a 25% discount promotion we’re currently running. It’s worth noting that we’ve implemented similar discount fields in the past without disrupting the form’s appearance or functionality.
    2. https://pastebin.com/b6n7T1k0. I’ve done as you requested and this is the pastebin link. Kindly note that this is not the only booking form on our website with this issue, most of the booking forms are also like this.

      Thank you

    Hi @lspr,

It appears the visibility condition have “null” when I check for both the “Total Number of People.?*,?Your Name as the Main Contact.?*” fields.

Most probably the issues noticed were due to that? Could you please confirm the visibility are correct and then check how it behaves after re-saving the form?

    Looking forward to your response.

    Kind Regards,

    Nithin
