Hi, my client is having trouble receiving email notifications from her website/s contact form all of the sudden. She used to receive them, but for the past couple of weeks the email notifications are not going through. I am copied on the email notifications, and they have come through for me, so it makes me think it’s something with Gmail. (I’m using a different email service). Do you have any recommendations on how I can help my client ensure she receives her emails?

    Hi @kacreative

    I hope you’re well today!

If you are receiving the same notifications but to different e-mail service, the first thing I’d recommend to check would be to look into the spam folder. It’s very likely that for some reasons their provider started considering these messages as a spam.

It is also worth duble-checking if the form notifications are the only e-mails from site that your Client is not getting. I mean: could they check if they receive one of “core” e-mails such as e.g. if they try to reset password on site using “Lost password” option on login page?

Aside from that, an efficient way to tackle majority of such cases it to switch WordPress method of sending e-mails from default to SMTP. This can be done using one of free plugins such as our own Branda or popular WP Mail SMTP or Post SMTP Mailer.

    Kind regards,
    Adam
