    Hi,

Not sure if this is already covered earlier

Website with Forminator was working ok, when suddenly got a fatal error caused by Forminator: Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/home/vol8_8/…/…/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/forminator/library/class-api.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/share/pear/’) in?/home/vol8_8/…/…/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/forminator/forminator.php?on line?74

When looking in the File mgr cannot even find the folder named “htdocs/wp-content/plugins/forminator/library”

    Any ideas how to solve?

    WordPress version 6.1.1
    Active theme: Neve (version 3.5.4)
Current plugin: Forminator (version 1.23.3) PHP version 7.4.8

    Thx and gr, Khouseyn

    Hi @akkinec,

I hope you are keeping well and sorry to know that you are experiencing this issue.

When looking in the File mgr cannot even find the folder named “htdocs/wp-content/plugins/forminator/library”

It looks like there are files missing from your Formiantor installation. Can you please re-install the plugin and check if the issue still persists?

Please let us know how that goes.

    Kind Regards,
    Nebu John

    Hi Nebu John,

Thanks for the advise. I had this possible solution in mind, although didn’t do it yet, because not sure if all the set up forms and communications will be kept or not? Are you aware of the exact changes after re-install?

    Gr,

    Hi @akkinec

The simplest way to safely re-install is to download the plugin package first and then install it via the “Plugins -> Add new -> Upload” option.

It will ask you at some point if you want to replace existing files with uploaded one – confirm that you want to replace with uploaded one.

This will not cause data loss and all the forms and submissions will still be there.

Of course it’s always strongly recommended to take a full backup of the site first – just to stay on the safe-side.

    Kind regards,
    Adam
