I’m experiencing an error where if I submit a form via formidable forms with akismet enabled using an email that only has one letter like [email protected] the form will give a “the captcha is missing from this form” error, the error is not triggered if I use two letters in email like [email protected].

Disabling askimet resolves the issue, but I can reproduce the same error if I connect to a vpn and then submit the form with any email length ([email protected] or [email protected] or longer), even with akismet disabled. I can reproduce the error on multiple wordpress installs that reside on the same server.

We have wp_footer in theme, can reproduce error in 2024 theme and the issue persists even when we’ve disabled all plugins / cacheing and have done extensive troubleshooting.

Can anyone else reproduce the error with akismet installed by using a one letter email address like [email protected] and submitting a contact form on their site or is it just me?

Last time I heard from formidable support was two days ago, so hoping feedback here can give clarity.

    Hi @diesel12 ,

I just checked your ticket in our helpdesk, and Kolahn replied to you on Friday, but we’ve not received a response from you. If you did reply and it didn’t reach us, could you please resend, as it would be very confusing to discuss the same issue both here and in the helpdesk.

Since extensive troubleshooting has been undertaken by our team, and we’ve not yet been able to reproduce this issue, asking about this in the community forum here might also be a good idea: https://connect.formidableforms.com/

    Best,
    Nathanael.

My apologies, I do see that I overlooked his response. I have posted a video reproducing the error in the forums link you provided, thank you!
