• Hello! I have a link that when an author is clicked from the main page, it brings the reader to an author page populated with the bio from the standard user profile. The only problem, is that it doesn’t bring any formatting whatsoever. It doesn’t seem like I can integrate html, php, or bbcode into the content either since wp kicks it out promptly upon hitting the ‘update’ button.

Can anyone help me format the user profile info or my author page?

Here is a link to my site. Here is a direct link to an example of what it is doing.

Any ideas suggestions, etc, is welcome! Please help!

    Bump.

That is about the most distracting template I’ve ever seen. Can’t follow any of it, and I have no idea at all what you’re referring to here.

I’m essentially trying to make a bio page about the author using the info they put into their profile. The problem I run into (what I’m trying to get help with here) is that there isn’t any formating when the info populates.

On a side note, I’m bummed you don’t like it. Any suggestions to improve the template?

There are hundreds – if not thousands – of files on the net about designing websites that are readable. In general, the consensus of experts is that light text on dark backgrounds, or these so-called “warez” type sites with tiny text in colors that fade into the BG is NOT what visitors want to see. There is no style to that theme at all – just pictures and text jammed together in a form that only 16 year olds with perfect eyesight can follow. I can’t even tell if that is WordPress running that.

If it was up to me – which it surely is not – I’d trash that template and find something people can follow without eye strain.

How are you creating these profiles that your editor is not formatting them? If you make a page containing individual links to profiles, it should be formatted. Then again, you might ask if everyone WANTS their profile made public.
