• I use a lot of hanging indents in my posts (crochet and knitting patterns) and have never had any issue with it. However after installing this update yesterday, much of the formatting on a current draft post is screwed up. Thankfully my existing posts are not, but I’m afraid to open any of them in the editor for fear of messing them up too.

WP stripped a lot of the tags at some point, so I went and put them back in, and it previewed ok, but then when I hit update draft, the tags were stripped out again.

I tried using the indent button in the visual editor instead – same issue. This happened directly after installing the update. Anyone know how to fix it? (I’m only mildly techie so please keep it simple).

This is the draft in question. (I would appreciate if no one shared this link outside of this forum, the pattern is not yet finished). About halfway down you’ll see the heading “written instructions” – all those lines below that are supposed to be indented at various levels. Here’s an example of one that is working correctly

it seems only the p tag formatting is broken. I can get around it by using div tags instead but that screws up the other inherited formatting (like line height, etc), so I’d rather not.

    SOLVED!!!

In case anyone else runs into this, I’m using the Weaver Xtreme theme, and had installed the recommended support plugin, but never did activate it. That never seemed to be a problem before the wp upgrade, but apparently now it’s needed. As soon as I activated the plugin, all works beautifully (actually nicer than before). ??

ok, I thought it was solved…it wasn’t. It has inexplicably gone back to the same behaviour.

is anyone else having this same problem?

I’ve also noticed this on a few sites using different themes.
