Formatting options removed from Text Tab

  • First off, I’m the type of person who prefers using the Text tab when writing articles to remove any unwanted formatting or add more advanced formatting. I’ve been using it for years.

    With the latest update (and after clearing cache, using different browsers, etc) I’ve noticed that the Text tab no longer has these options.

    Text tab now: New article Text tab

    But yet they ARE in the Visual tab, something I really never use:

    I’m hoping these options can be added back by WordPress for all of us who prefer the Text editor over the Visual.

    They shouldn’t be missing, actually. That looks like a conflict. Can you test by turning off all your plugins.

    Hmm it’s being caused by Yoast SEO plugin. Unfortunately, there’s no way I can leave it deactivated without breaking things.
