• I just wanted to know if there are any plans (as I previously asked) to allow for formatting in the translated posts. I create a post and format it to my liking (buttons, CTAs, carousels, etc). Then when translating, only text and images (without any modifications, such as masks, or effects) can be added to the translated post. Could it be possible to “edit” the translation (the post in the target language) in something different than the WP Classic Editor, so that I could replicate the look-and-feel of the original post?

    Not using Elementor, or Divi…

    Best regards,
    Luis

it”s the front-end result but a screen capture of the backend will help , i have continued this week to try to integrate block editor (isolated editor) in the Falang post translation page but it’s don’t work yet

    • The extra block are not loaded
    • The browse all is not displayed
    • media system not yet working

As you can see, the editor is not pulling the format from the source language.

    I’m on this feature actually

At first i have trying to make like Elementor/Divi… and translate each field directly in the original post but it’s to complex to make all extra blocks and i have a problem with innerblocks

I will make “only” the block editor in falang post translation , to keep the same way to do the translation.

to transalte your page actually you have to the text mode view and put the translation in it.

So, use the “copy/transfer” button to copy the exact text from the original source language post and type the translation over the copied text (in the text tab, not the vual one), right? I’ll try that and let you know how it goes.

yes actually it’s the only way

you copy the content in text mode and you change the text

the next system will be like this https://snipboard.io/euG6vZ.jpg

Roger that! Nice to know theres is a way to do it even if it is a little “convoluted”. I will create a new post for testing with different blocks and let you know how it goes.

Yes i’m making a system not perfect but at least you can use it in a simple way

i’m not a big fan of the block editor , writing standard blog post is more complex and mix the display/content

For me, it kind of goes down to aesthetics. The original post has the “bling” and the tranlated ones are “plain”. I do appreciate the work, and the plugin works as intended and flawlessly (as intended). It is just it would be nice to have a way to have TOCs, carousels, etc. Now I know it can be done. As I said, I’ll try your suggestion and let you know how it goes. Good work.

Ok, i will post a message when it’s done , the number version will be 1.4 or 2.0 depending on the change necessary
