Formatting of source page not replicating on insert page

    I’ve tried the plugin and formatting only seems to be reproduced on the insert page if the source content is created using blocks – not if the Classic Editor or Classic Block are used.

    (This applies whether using shortcode in Classic Editor or the Insert Code block in the insert page.)

    Is that correct, or am I missing something?

    This plugin pre-dates the block editor so it should be fully compatible with the Classic Editor. Perhaps another plugin is modifying the markup? You can also try adjusting the config in Settings > Insert Pages (specifically try using the “normal” insert method, and use the “div” wrapper element instead of span).

    Great! I believe the browser will strip block elements out of a containing span because it’s against html spec to have block elements inside inline elements.
