• I’m having problems with the way links are displayed and can’t seem to find a solution. In the dashboard you are able to specify an html code for before the link, between the link and description and after the link. The default is [li] [br] [/li]. If I change those values it makes no difference.

Is there a way I can change how the links display? I’ve tried to edit the links.php file in the wp-includes folder, but don’t know enough to do it properly.

I have 2 things in particular that I want to do. I want to set the image displayed with links to border=”0″ (or assign a css class that will eliminate the ugly purple link border), and I want a break between the link name and the description.

The page I’m trying to work with is at: https://theinkmark.com/wp/index.php?page_id=3.

Any help, and explainations of why the dashboard values won’t work is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,
    Birdie

  • 1. According to the gurus around here it isn’t a wise thing to edit core WP files.
    2. As you can read here Template_Tags/get_links_list – right at the beginning in Description… not all Link Manager template tags respect what you set up in your admin panel. You will have to find the right tag.
