This will depend on the RSS feed. Given the majority of the time, the format of the feed is plain text at the best of time, and excerpts in general tend to be plain text (just look at wordpress’ excerpt default output) then I would say you would need to do some additional formatting to the output to give you the desired output.
This plugin facilitates the ability to return a RSS feed in object form so its easier to implement into a page, without the need to write your own extensive code to pull the information out. In no way does it handle the formatting/css for you.
