Hi @tashaagruso Thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear you’re having formatting issues with your stories. To help with this please could you share some further information:

1. Your Site Health information. You can share privately if you prefer.
2. Could you share any screenshots or recordings of how this looks for you in your editor so I can compare with the live story? You can use services such as Imgur and Loom to do this and share here.
3. Is this happening on all stories or only on particular ones? And does it happen when using specific features in the editor?

@tashaagruso Thanks a lot for the information. I can see that you have a lot of active plugins on your site. It’s possible that there is a plugin conflict happening somewhere that could be causing this to happen.

I have also copied your story to a fresh WordPress install with no added plugins and the formatting looks correct. You can see this here: https://gripbranch.s2-tastewp.com/web-stories/test-ikea/.

It would be useful at this stage to check for a potential plugin conflict on your site. There are two ways you could do this:

1. You could manually deactivate your plugins leaving the Web Stories plugin active and try creating a new story and publishing. I appreciate that this may not be a favourable option but it will highlight if one of the other plugins is conflicting.
2. You could create a new site with a fresh WordPress install and add only the Web Stories plugin and test creating your story here.

Please let me know if you can try one of these options and if your stories format correctly this way.

Perhaps. But it’s worth noting that I have not added any plugins recently. So the formatting was absolutely fine and is now haywire without the addition of any new plugins. I was part of the Google Creators program and this happened once before during the program. I was told it was “an issue” that was ultimately resolved. Sure enough, without me making any changes to plugins or otherwise, the formatting of my stories returned to normal.

@tashaagruso I understand you may not have made any changes or installed any new plugins but it’s possible that some of the plugins you have on your site have recently been updated which could have introduced a conflict. I completely understand that you may be hesitant to deactivate plugins even if temporary but if you could follow the 2nd option above just to rule this out it would help narrow down the cause.

@tashaagruso Just checking your live story again I can no longer see any of the formatting issues. If you have not made any changes then this looks like it could be a browser caching issue. Can you check once more on your browser and if you still see the formatting issue please then try an Incognito browsing window.
