• I’m having an issue across various blogs on various servers/hosts.

    I will write a post.

As I am writing, the autosave feature will save the text that I write.

When I get to the end of writing the post text, I often go back to make edits to formatting.

For example, a paragraph may look like this:

“Once upon a time there was a little girl who had blonde hair. She really loved her stuffed panda bear named Tom. One day she took Tom to the zoo with her and she lost him.”

Now, say I go back to edit this paragraph to read like this:

“Once upon a time there was a little girl who had blonde hair. She really loved her stuffed panda bear named Tom.

One day she took Tom to the zoo with her and she lost him.”

Well, after I have made these changes, if the autosave function has a chance to save, it will change my formatting to make it look like this:

“Once upon a time there was a little girl who had blonde hair. She really loved her stuffed panda bear named Tom. One day she took Tom to the zoo with her and she lost him.

One day she took Tom to the zoo with her and she lost him.”

As you can see, this creates repeating text which is a problem.

This issue is happening across a lot of my client’s blogs as I write their posts and I can’t seem to figure out why.

Does anyone have this issue, know why it’s happening, or know how to stop it from happening?

to rule out any theme/plugin specific issue, try:
    – Flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as server and/or browser caches. Not just your browser, but any op cache or content network cache as well such as Cloudflare. That will solve many weird JavaScript issues.
    – deactivating ALL (yes all) plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
resetting the plugins folder by FTP.
    – switching to the unedited default Theme (Twenty Sixteen) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

It doesn’t seem to be related to a cache, plug-in, or theme related issue since it’s seen in various blogs. At least two of these blogs have no plug-ins in common and use different themes.
