In your text, you’d use something like

We've been around for [years-since start="1960"] years

This has worked really well Steve. Do you have any idea how I adapt it, or do you have another amazing code, to calculate months, days, as well. I am thinking in using it for say a CV page, where maybe you want a more exact difference, so it says employed for 1year and 2 months, etc…?

As it used to say in my math books, “the proof is left to the student.” You’ll need to convert years to months and days (or years, months, and days) and output it all correctly and to change the “start” parameter to accept a full YYYY-MM-DD date.
