Format video URL to a shortcode for video

  • Hi,

    I have created a upload form with gravity forms. It uploads video from visitors and the webserver then converts the video format into HTML5 compatible format.

    My blog post picks up the origninal URL and displays it in the post so I need to manualy edit the URL into a short code.

    For expample : https://www.site.com/myvideo.mov needs to be [video src="https://www.site.com/myvideo"]

    So I need my wordpress site to automatically add [video src=" infront of any URL and remove .mov file extention and in the end add "]

    Can anybody help me with this?
