format field with dashes for a credit card

  • can anyone tell me how i can format an input field to show dashes to accept a credit card? i found plugins to take payments but do not need to take actual payments at the time the form is filled out, I just need to collect the number.

    So I’d like a way to add a dash ever 4 characters in a field.

    Can someone help me do that?
