• Hello, I discovered today the reCaptcha integrated with CF7. I tried today to use it in place of “very easy captcha”, but I got an issue when I submit the form.
reCaptcha seems to work as it is shown correctly, a green arrow appears when I click on it, the first time, I see a popup with pictures, etc… but when I submit the form, I got a message telling there was an error while sending.
If I remove the reCaptcha, the form works well, and it sends well the email.
Where do I have to dig?

    See https://contactform7.com/recaptcha/

Are you sure the site key and secret key are correct?

I guess htere’s something I do wrong as I implemented on 5 sites and I have the same problem everywhere. I’ve created a key for each one of them,…
But if the key wasn’t ok, would the reCaptcha show the green V arrow when clicked?

I tested with a false secret key, and the recaptcha shows the green arrow too. So I don’t know where the problem is.

Yes, it’s normal. The secret key isn’t used when validating a user, but used after that.

Hello. I am also experiencing this same issue.

Additionally, if the reCAPTCHA is not completed (unsuccessful or untouched), Contact Form 7 will throw the general error “Failed to send your message. Please try later or contact us via telephone.” Is there a way to detect the specific failure and provide a more accurate error re: reCAPTCHA?

Is it possible the script tag integrated by CF7 in the head might not work properly? I see the url is not the same than the one provided by google in the step 1: Client Side integration of Google reCaptcha.

Contact Form 7’s scripts are all added into footer. If you see script tags in header, they are not by Contact Form 7.

Ok, that’s a clue. I’ll dig this way

@takayuki Miyoshi – I have opened a new thread for my particular experience / question.
