I’ve built several ACF Forms, and while the entries for them show up after submission, they aren’t posting data to the post-type fields. I made a very simple one with a simple title field in one field group, and it shows up fine in the entries for that form, but won’t post any data to it’s post-type either. There are no error messages either there or in the console.

I’ve gone over the configs many times and can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong here.
I can add to the post type from the backend, and I built a Forminator form that can post to those post-types and fields, so I know that is all working. I have disabled all the plugins I can, no change. I am displaying the form via a shortcode on a page with no other elements.

    Help. ??

    Private communication preferred if possible.

    Hi acrspf

I’m a little unsure on what is happening here so I’ll need to get some more information. First up, are you referring to the built-in entries or are you trying to work with custom post types?

it shows up fine in the entries for that form, but won’t post any data to it’s post-type either

It don’t follow this part. Entries only appear in the WordPress admin and if you are able to see submitted values in the entry, the values are being saved. Can you provide some screenshots or a screencast demonstrating what is happening?

Can you clarify for me whether you are using the free or the pro version of the plugin? If it’s pro, I’m not allowed to provide support here as it is against the terms of the forum and we’ll have to move this to our support system but if it’s free, we can work through it here.

    Cheers,
    Phil

My ACF Forms won’t post. Not even a simple one with only one simple text field. Started out with Free version and tried Pro to see if that made a difference.
In the list of entries for the Forms, the submissions show, but the post doesn’t appear in the post-type it’s assigned to. Nothing appears at all, the form simply isn’t pushing the data into the post-type fields assigned to it nor is it creating a new entry like it’s supposed to.
There are no error messages either in the front-end, java console, or php errors, nor does wordpress debug have anything relevant.
The form is set up correctly as far as I can tell. I’ve tested it with no other plugins enabled save what is necessary. Still no posts.

How do I troubleshoot this with no information about where the data goes after the form submission?
    Thank you…

Maybe I’m not describing it very well. Sorry it’s been grueling around here lately. Really wanna get this site up live ??

    The simple test:
I have a custom post-type named Gigs. I have one field in it, Title. I built a form with that field group and custom post type assigned to it. The form displays and fills out fine.

When I submit he front end form (with a logged in admin user) the form says it submitted successfully, and in the Forms > Entries list for that form in the back-end it shows up, but in the Gigs post-type list, no entry shows up.

That’s the same for two other forms I created as well, with two different post-types.

    Does that help?

    Hi @acrspf,

This is highly unusual as I’ve had no other reports of this nature and post type creation is working fine in all my tests. So, I suspect something else on the site may be interfering in some way.

It does sound like you are using the pro version so we’ll need to move this to email support as we’ll be going against the www.remarpro.com terms if we continue here.

Write to me at [email protected] and I’ll work through some debugging steps with you.

    Cheers,
    Phil

    @acrspf,

You’ve emailed during the Christmas/NY holiday period. I spend time with family during this period and my support responses are much slower.

I’ll be getting to your email shortly.

    Cheers,
    Phil
