    There is no interface within the plugin that can directly allow the users to update their emails but indirectly it is achievable through Workflows feature. In order to update contact emails in Email Subscribers whenever they are updated on the WordPress Users list, you can create a Workflow (Email Subscribers > Workflow > Add New) and select trigger as ‘User Updated’ and action as ‘Update Contact’ and save it. By this, whenever a user will be updated it will reflect automatically in the plugins Audience as well.

    ah ok, but how do i know a user we have 12,000 + updates their email ?
    would be nice if it was automatic, we don’t have resources to do this much

    I will try the workflow. But many users won’t know how to update

    If i update manually by uploading a cab file of updates will that trigger the workflow?

    I have s big mess here many users wanted in they were added by spreadsheets now they are wanting to change

    does not work, when i change the wp user email it does nothing, but if i change wp user email that matches the email subscriber it fires the workflow, why it does not update the email address ? because it is different I think

    Nope, this will not trigger the workflow.

    If the users themselves update the email or if the admin updates the email, the workflow will be triggered and based on that the users will be updated in the Email Subscribers list.

    There is one more alternative to this. Below are the steps for the same.

    1. You can import the users again with the correct emails.
    2. Then, from the Import existing WordPress users feature under Import contacts in the plugin you can add them in the Email Subscribers list. Also, to inform this import functionality is available in the PRO version.
    3. Also, make sure all the WordPress User workflows are inactive in the plugin during this process.

    Hi, we have over 14,000 followers. this is impossible. I need a way the user can change their email. Some are not even registered in the system. But for the ones that are, when they change their own email it does not trigger. This is a great disappointment.
    I have set up test users, for example the users [email protected] changes, logins, in his profile, changes his email but it is not triggered. I think it is because the new email has nothing to do with the old, but I do not know.
    To import is strange, the user themselves need to do this, if they change their email address.
    We have written you about your pro version no one answers our emails.

    I think the webhook does not fire, I tried the forum profile change email
    i tried woo-commerce my-account
    and a plugin profile press
    none of them fire the webhook or something nothing is changed

    I have set up test users, for example the users [email protected] changes, logins, in his profile, changes his email but it is not triggered.

    We have checked the Workflow on our end and seems like it is working as expected. Can you let us know if the users who logs in to their profile and changes their email is also completing the confirmation process later through their email. Because the workflow will trigger only if the user has visited the confirmation link that they have received in their email?

    You can contact us on our support channel here if the above mentioned process is not working. In that case, we might need to dig into it deeper.

    hmm maybe that is the problem, they are not getting the confirmation, i did send an email to your support thanks

    ok there is no confirmation process.. it just updates the email in the wordpress user account.. no email is sent to the old or new email address.. the new email address gets a message the account as updated, go to your account but not a change confirmation email.
