    Hello,

I am using your plugin and trying to create an event and trigger it when forms are succesfully submit. But I cannot see it in GA!

Ok i followed the instructions for creating Tag and trigger (gtm4wp.contactForm7Submitted) here at:
    https://dcarlbom.com/google-tag-manager/contact-form-7-on-wordpress-with-gtm/

And went ahead and created (custom) Goal at GA, with Category equal to “Contact Form” and Action equal to “Sent” and that is it.

At the preview of GTM i see the tag being fired, but no result at GA real time.

    Pls help, regards,
    Korhan

    Hi,

I checked the contact form found on this URL:
    https://www.webmarketim.net/iletisim/

The gtm4wp.contactForm7Submitted event is being fired correctly but I do not see any GA event executed on this GTM event.

Inside your GTM file I can not see any reference to the gtm4wp.contactForm7Submitted event. Have you published your changes in your container on the GTM UI?

Thank you so much for your reply. I am including 3 screenshots of what i did. In the 1st an 2nd screenshot, you will see that i created a Universal Analytics tag and triggered by(2nd screenshot).

Also on the 3rd screenshot you can see that in Google Analytics, i created a goal with those settings. Thats all i have done. I cannot see the goals in real time in GA!

    Hi,

Could you check please what number do you see when you open your GTM container and look at the top right corner?

[GTM-NNNNNN] Workspace changes: X [Preview] [Submit]

    X=?

    Hello Thomas,

Thank you for your response. It says (x=) 3

    Workspace Changes: 3

I will write you through contact form as well, and have added you in the container.

    Thanks and regards.

    FTR:
    – some changes were not published in the container
    – GA event tag firing on the CF7 sent event had a misconfiguration in the GA settings variable

    Hi, and thx !! ??
If I may add to this question: In Analytics it is easy to anonymize data (IP),, is the same necessity given here with GTM and your plugin? IS that possible?

    THx

    Hi Dan,

On the GTM UI, using the Universal Analytics tag template, under “More Options” there is a “Fields to set” section. Here you can add the anonymizeIp field and enter true. Using this, you will get the same results.
