Looks like the static assets on your site is not loading, Can you please try with the default theme? And if possible deactivating all other plugins. Also, activate one by one to see if this particular plugin is causing the issue? We could not reproduce the issue on our test server.

does it matter that its on php 5.4?

It should work on php 5.4. Have you tried with default wordpress theme? And guidelines noted above?
