Form Submission date

Hi everyone, hope you are all well and keeping safe in this trying time.

I am trying to send a hidden field with the date the form is submitted but cam’t find any CF7 method to do this.

I can write some javascript myself to add the value to the hidden field on submission but feel that I have overlooked some functionality of cf7 if I do.

I have seen the [_date] field I can add to the email and could add a date field and set min:today and then hide it but that doesn’t look the best way to do it.

Is there and easy way I can just send along the date of form submission?
