form still not sending emails

    I updated to the newest version and it is still not sending emails. Everything looks like it is working but it is not. I have in on the contact page and on the sidebar. It used to work until this winter when you did the last update.

  • you can try to test you wp_mail function to be sure that is working?

    you can test it with one of the many smtp plugins, if php_mailer doesn’t work try to configure the smtp service.

    TLDR; gmail and other mail services no longer accept mail sent with php_mailer if you don’t have at least the PTR, SPF, DKIM correctly configured. Can you receive also the email from WordPress, like mail change plugin updates etc? if the answer is no, now you know the reason

    I was able to fix it I think finally. I had my emails set up on godaddy under a different domain account(it was a free email account) but using the same current domain. I deleted those and added them to CPanel under the correct hosting and domain. I also went into cpanel and changed the email routing to remote mail exchanger. The moving of the emails to the correct hosting account seems to be what fixed it.
