  • Hello @stroc,

I’m testing the contact form from the URL you provided and saw what you describe above (the infinite spinning wheel).

It’s possible that some code of your current theme or a plugin you’re using conflicts with CF7.

Please create a staging o test installation of your site, switch your current theme to a default one (e.g. Twenty Twenty), disable all plugins, except CF7, and try sending a message.

By doing this you can determine whether the trouble you face is caused by Contact Form 7 itself, by one of the other plugins orby the theme that you’ve just deactivated.

Please read Why you are advised to deactivate plugins and switch to the default theme to learn more.

    Best regards,
    Yordan.

    Hi

I have the same for two weeks with a productive website as well as with a staging one.

Please tell which plugins caused the issue as it maybe helpful. For me it was once WP SMTP, but i solved this and it was working but started later onwards again.

    Best,
    Thomas

I had to invoke a new theme, reinstall the theme i was using, then put back in the theme I was using. Also, cleaned up all plugins, only absolute necessary ones were kept. Hope this helps.

    Hello @stroc,

Just out of curiosity, what was the theme you were using before?

Please read I get an error message with a red border. So, how can I solve this? to learn more.

    Best regards,
    Yordan.

Using Mediclinic by Grace Themes. Just evoked another of their themes and then put it back. Pretty sure it was a combination of things not the theme only.
just know i am fixed now.

    Hello @stroc,

I’m glad to read that you have solved the problem! Sorry for the link I left you above, was for another user and I pasted it here by accident.

By the way, thanks for provide the theme name. I already check the changelog and says it never update since the initial release (May, 2020). Since then WordPress has had two major updates: 5.5 and 5.6 which include a lot of important code changes, including the discontinuation of jQuery Migrate.

    Best regards,
    Yordan.

    Hi Yordan
I have a question are you able to migrate a PHP from 5.* to 8.*
    Thanks in advance

    Hello @stroc,

Actually, upgrading your server from one version of PHP to another is not difficult (if the provider offers the option in your hosting panel), what may take some time and effort is to test that your code is ready to work in PHP 8.x.

You need to check that both WordPress and your active theme and plugins are ready for PHP 8.x before updating. I usually set up a local test environment on my computer where I run a copy of the site and perform the tests. Depending on the size and type of site this may take some time ??

    Best regards,
    Yordan.
