The settings to sticky forms are located under the notification settings link to the left, see here: Screen dump

Thanks for response. I don’t have that screen option.
See screenshots for plugins settings and form settings page.

Thats strange. I’ll look into this.

Do you have a test site where you could disable all plugins except for Gravity Forms and Sticky List to see if it could be a plugin conflict?

    Thread Starter cpickeri

    (@cpickeri)

ok the plugin conflict is with Members plugin. Gravity forms actually recommends installing and using it, as it go hand and hand with one of the GF addon plugins (Gravity Forms User Registration addon)

I’m guessing you aren’t using this plugin….but I believe most GF users would be using it.

    Thanks

Thanks. I actually did have the members plugin installed when testing. Maybe some settings are conflicting. I’ll look into this and post a fix.

I have done some testing but am not able to reproduce the problem.

Have tested with Gravity Forms 1.8.19.9, Members v 0.2.4 and Sticky List 1.0.

Are you experiencing these problems with Administrator user? Have you made any modifications to your users role?

Hmmm interesting. I have added a few capabilities to the administrator role but I have not taken any away. I am using the same versions of the mentioned plugins. I will do some investigating as well and get back to you (likely early next week) as I am currently working on another project.

    Thanks for the assistance.

Just another update on this thread. When i disable the members plugin, the sticky list settings appear and I can set them accordingly, when I reactivate the members plugin, although the Sticky List settings link no longer shows up on the page, the functionality of the plugin still works….so I basically only have to disable the members plugin to change settings for the form, then reactivate it….kind of weird but its a workaround.

I also noticed this is the case with the gravity forms user registration add-on.

    Cheers

Ok. Good find! Looks like a conflict between Members and plugins that use the Gravity Forms addon Framework.

I would like to investigate this further and maybe send a bug report toe Gravity Forms, but I have been unable to reproduce the issue myself…

    Lets try to solve this.

First, are you logged in as Administrator?

Second, go to Users -> Roles -> Administrator and edit that Role. Make sure gravityforms_view_addons and gravityforms_view_settings are checked (and all other gravity form capabillities should be checked to).

    Save that and try again.

    (@cpickeri)

    Yes logged in as Admin,
Yes all capabilities for GF are enabled.

    (@fried_eggz)

Hmm. Then I dont know. Seems like a bug in Gravity Forms (since other add-ons are also affected).

Ill keep an eye open for this. In the meantime you can use the weird workaround ??

    (@cpickeri)

Well, the other weird thing I have noticed with the Sticky List plugin is when I disable Members and GF member addon, your plugin still doesn’t appear in the settings.

I then deactivate and reactivate your plugin and it then shows up. So I think it might be something missing in your code?? (guessing)

I am just promoting some changes from my dev to prod. Once I have done this, I can help you test the SL plugin more thoroughly.

    Thanks again for the support!

Another strange behavior I have noticed is that despite this plugin being installed and active, it occasionally stops functioning (ie my page shows the shortcode as oppose to the actual sticky list) and the way to fix it is to disable and reactivate it.

example: plugin is active but this is shown on page.
    [stickylist id=”8″ title=”false” description=”false”]

If I disable and activate plugin, then the list is shown. I make no other changes.

There is most certainly some kind of plugin conflict between this and members.
Is no one else having this issue?

    (@fried_eggz)

This has happened to me a couple of times when updating the members plugin. These plugin conflicts are really hard to iron out since every install is unique, but I just wanted to let you know that I’m still dedicated to finding out what is causing these issues.
