• Please consider a form setting to automatically delete captured entries after a configurable amount of time.

With the GDPR into place, you may not store personally identifiable information for an unlimited period. You can only store it for the time you need that information.

I’d like to suggest a form setting where you can specify the period it may be stored. After that time it should automatically be purged from the database. Something like the data retention setting in Google analytics. https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/7667196?hl=en

  • In addition to my original post, please create this setting based on field entries or magic tags. Examples:

    * A setting to auto delete normal contact form entries 1 year after entry.
    * A setting to auto delete based on a date in the form. If you have a booking form with a date, you only want this to be deleted for example 1 year after that date.

    PLUS ONE!

Retention / purging of old data is one of good practices of GDPR. While logging entries is extremely useful, it would be awesome to just get rid of them automatically after X days.

    Hi John-Pierre & Otavio,

We have a dedicated section of our website to GDPR feature updates and news, including access to tools for auto-deletion and bulk deletion. Please see: https://calderaforms.com/gdpr/

    Thanks!

    Hi @christiechirinos

Thank you for your reply. That page says this feature would be integrated in 1.7 or 1.7.1. The current version is 1.7.2 it does not have that feature implemented and the github entry it links to is still open. It also says to delete entries older then a certain date (ie not based on a configurable date field).

    thx
    JP
