I’ve set up our site using the Google API for email through the WP Mail SMPT plugin. I used our [email protected] address for the Google account settings. I’ve also set an alias for From Email to [email protected]

I then created a form that emails our [email protected] address. I’ve confirmed this is the only email in the “Send To Email Address” under notification settings for the form.

However, when the form is submitted, it not only sends an email to info@, but also [email protected]

Any way to prevent it from sending emails out to our admin account?

  • Hi @crimsonflash,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

From my understanding, the “[email protected]” address is an alias of the main “[email protected]” address.

For Gmail, alias’ will receive emails to it, but also to the main email address. In order to not receive duplicate notification emails, please try to receive them to a non-alias email address.

I hope this helps. Please let us know how it goes.

    Kindly,

Thank you. That was exactly it. In Gmail, under alias, I unchecked “Treat as an alias” for my info@ account.

So now my accounts are still linked, but I’m not getting duplicate emails.
