    This fails when Disable Guest Donations is checked and the login form is set to none.

    The other way around is to use a login/register form on the donation form but the fields are not customisable ie: my site does not use first/last name only user name/email.

    Using just the login form on the donation form then the option to login is user name + password when I think it should be an admin settings choice of email + password or username + password or user/email + password.

    If you could then adding Google re-Captcha support to your give form login/register forms would be good.
