Try switching to the default theme, deactivating all plugins excluding Contact Form 7 and Wordfence Security, and clearing all cache data.

Why you are advised to deactivate plugins and switch to the default theme.

Unfortunently I can’t just switch my theme and deactivate all my plugins. This is a live ecommerce site with people shopping on it constantly. I can’t just take it down or it breaks a bunch of things. Let me paste what I am getting on the console when I try to submit a form below and see if any of this helps you. Also, this problem is occurring on any page that has a form.

I am experiencing the same issue on several installations. Every single one of them very much different in terms of utilized plugins or themes. We even deactivated all other plugins, but still the identical unfortunate behavior.

I logged into the WordPress settings via wordpress.com and change the discussion settings I believe to allow people to post. Don’t ask me why but it fixed my issue.

Our installations are self hosted only and not via wordpress.com.

Nevertheless we tried some changes in the discussion settings, although no comments are active on our sites. Therefore it did not help solving the issue.
