Form not working after 4.4.1 wordpress update

Your solution worked for me, I pasted [your-name] <[your-email]> into the From field and now forms are sent and received correctly.

Funny thing: That [your-name] <[your-email]> thing already was there in every single form. So: No solution for me.

No solution would work. I hope a fast update would be released to fix this.

Changing the From field under the Mail tab to

anything <[email protected]>

fixed this for me!

As long as you have the additional header:

Reply-To: [your-email]

underneath, it shouldn’t make a difference in usability.

do you use the field [your-name] in the form?
change it to other field like [first name]
also if your from field contains text field or so chane that one to your help/admin mail.

I have [first-name] [last-name] <[your-email]> in my mail section of my contact form. Does that make a difference?

I need to keep the first & last name fields in my form, they worked fine before the WP update.

That is whats in my ‘from field’: [first-name] [last-name] <[your-email]> (Mail 1)

@meravjon: It doesn’t matter what I change it to.

if you can change both from (mail 1 + 2) to an actual mail adress like:
simple text <[email protected]>
that shuold make it work.
the [first-name] [last-name] <[your-email]> put in the massege content.
hope this will solve it for you.

Why should I use First Name and Last Name?

@marius (Clorith) – People appear to be becoming increasingly confused by this thread, jumping on the latest solution that worked for a particular user rather than looking for the cause of their actual problem on their site.

Either way, if it is possible for the plugin creator and/or team to update the plugin and fix these bigs/issues, it would save a lot more confusion.
