Hey guys… so, after submitting a hugely positive review, I’ve hit a problem. You did say to reach out to you if I had any issues!!

I am using Hustle to pop-up Forminator forms. It’s working great on my systems (PC/iPhone/iPad), but Android users are saying they can’t submit the form – and there are no errors. It just doesn’t submit.

I’ve tried to submit the form on AWS using remote access on several Android devices, and I have the same problem my users/customers are reporting. Some devices give me ‘Invalid Captcha’; others just don’t do anything. I do have an old Android tablet, which I’ve tried, and that doesn’t work either – but it’s so old I can’t update the Android version so I figured it wasn’t the best test!

AWS test on iPhone 15 Pro works fine (as it does on my phone). I received the test form. So AWS is working! Obviously a problem with Android?!! Please help… ??

The link I’ve given you is to a bookmark on the site. Click on ‘Apply to go on our list’ to try one of the forms (that’s the most important one, but the ‘general enquiry’ form below it is arguably just as important!)

    Hoping you can help…

    Hi @cheekypoppet

I hope you are doing well.

We made a few tests on your site and we could replicate the issue with the Android, but when we tested on a fresh site it worked well.

Could you please confirm if you have the Google ReCaptcha enabled from any other plugin other than Forminator?

I see a script coming from gstatic domain https://monosnap.com/file/gkKbk29AjqSMeAkWl9LV3TuJ7zUjPW but on my test, the Forminator enqueue it from the google domain.

Please also export your Form and Hustle PopUp so we can test both on a lab site.

Then share using Google drive or pastebin.com

    Best Regards

Hi Patrick, and thanks for your speedy response and assistance.

No, I don’t have any other plugins installed that use recaptcha – to the best of my knowledge, at least. I assume I’d know if I had enabled it as I’d have had to give them the Site/Secret key.

I was using WPForms with reCaptcha before I switched to Hustle/Forminator, but that’s now deleted. I requested that all data was removed upon deletion too, for fear it might leave something behind that would cause a conflict if I didn’t, but could the script you’ve found be from that?

I do use Google Maps on the page (click on ‘Our Main Location’ towards the top of the page), but that’s HTML code with an iFrame.

Will look forward to hearing further from you…

    Hi @cheekypoppet

Thanks for sharing the export, however, I tested in my test site to see whether I could replicate the issue again but it works fine on your website and also in my test site with the given form export.

I could notice that filling up the form was quite lagging on my side on your website, while I couldn’t notice such behaviour in my test site during the submission.

Could we know whether you are aware of any specific steps in replicating the issue? ie it only occur in specific browsers etc?

Possible to check whether you could set up a staging site and then test how it behaves in there? If the same issue occurs in the staging then a conflict test could be performed in such instances to see if that would help in ruling out the issue.

You can ask your hosting provider to setup a staging or can check the following article for more info:

    Looking forward to your response.

    Hi Nithin

Thank you for looking at this.

Yes, so far I’ve only had the problem with Android forms – it’s worked fine on my PC, iPad and iPhone – and it was fine on iPhone on AWS too.

I can set up a staging site but, if it was a plugin conflict, wouldn’t it be the same for all devices?

    Thanks

    Hi @cheekypoppet,

I do understand you, unfortunately, we aren’t able to replicate such an issue on our test environment, making it tough to say what exactly is causing the issue.

It works fine in multiple Android devices when we test the form in our test site ie on Android v 13, v 14

The initial checks give an impression the issue is site-specific and hence a conflict test was suggested in a staging site.

Also could we know the version of Androids and the browsers where you are testing? ie whether the issue is specific in Chrome, or Firefox browser in Mobile etc?

    Looking forward to your response.

    Kind Regards,

    Nithin

Ok, thank you very much for your help.

The issue is with android mobile, and the ones I’ve used on AWS are using a Chrome browser.

However, prompted by your suggestion, I set up a separate test page (using Elementor) on the live site with nothing but the button to open the Hustle Popup containing the Forminator form…. and it worked!!

So it’s definitely a conflict with something on the main page and, as you say, not something to do with your plugins – sorry to have taken up your time.

I will run a plugin conflict test on a staging site and report back when I’ve found the culprit for anyone else having the same problem if I’m still able to…

    Thanks again for your help!
