It works fine in localhost where I installed 3 weeks back, however today when I installed in the live site, I am unable to view form. I am using Salient theme, wpbakery, w3 total cache. I have same setup in local as well as live site.

    Hi @upola

    I hope you’re well today!

I understand that you didn’t create new form on the live site but the entire site was migrated to live, right?

    Please try this:

    1. clear all cache on site (and server if there is any)
    2. edit the form in question and simply re-save/update it
    3. clear caches again and see if forms shows up
    4. if it’s still not working
    – try switching form loading method (edit form in question and you’ll find this option in “Behaviour” tab of form settings, at the bottom, in “Rendering” section); if “load form using AJAX” is disabled – enable it; if it already is enabled – try disabling it; – update form, clear caches and try again

If that still doesn’t help, could you please point us to the page on your live site (share URL) where this form is included and supposed to show?

    Best regards,
    Adam

It’s a shame that a plugin with such a good look, easy to configure, etc… gives so many problems so that it can be used on the web. Of course, in that aspect, it’s not conceived for small businesses that intend to install in their websites (self-built in wordpress and with limited knowledge) the Paypal payment gateway, if for that, for the form to work, you have to purge the cache of the site, the server, disable and activate all the plugins, etc. The above, a shame.

@ortb0261 No need to shame anybody. If you are unhappy with the plugin, don’t use it. The developers are trying hard to build something and give away most of the features free. Atleast appreciate what they have built which you are using for free.

@upola And why do you think I use the free plugin? Because you use it? I’ve not questioned the work of the developers, I’m just saying, and I repeat, that the plugin, even if paid for, is complicated to manage for people with little knowledge (that is, the great majority). Just look at the plugin’s forum. It’s a plugin that, unfortunately, I can’t recommend to customers with self-managed webs.

    HI @ortb0261

I understand your point but please note that all these steps here that you are referring to were troubleshooting steps. It’s not “a guide to configure plugin to make it work” but ways to find out why in this specific case it didn’t work and how to change its configuration to make it work.

There are countless combinations of server configurations + WordPress configurations + sets and configurations of plugins and themes and so on. Pretty much each and every install is different and consists of various pieces of code from various developers. There’s always a chance, regardless whether it’s our plugin or any other plugins, that something may not always play well with something else on site, in general.

The fact that such options (like, for example, switching form loading method from/to AJax) is exactly because of that – to make it more universal and give an option to switch it in case one way wouldn’t work on site.

You said “just look at the plugin’s forum”… fair point. But I can assure you that with over 100k active installs (not to mention pro version of the plugin which is not included in this number) the overwhelming majority of Forminator-created forms is working perfectly fine out of the box.

And in case something is not working, we are all here to help and will be glad to assist you in any way we can.

That said if you are experiencing any issues with the plugin, please start a separate ticket of your own, as per this forum rules, and we’ll be more than happy to help. it will be also great if you will share suggestions on how, in your opinion, plugin could be improved to make it better and to make you give it a chance. We value all the feedback and opinion very much and it’s very important to us so if you want to share some thoughts on the plugin with us – please either contact us directly or start a separate ticket with features/improvements suggestions and we’ll also be more than happy to hear it!

    Best regards,
    Adam
