  • Hi stevethefootycoach,

It doesn’t look like any of the styles or scripts are getting loaded. The plugin is set up to enqueue the scripts and styles in the footer using standard WordPress core hooks, so they should appear unless the theme (or another plugin) is interfering in some way.

The best way to test is to deactivate all other plugins and switch to a default theme, like TwentySixteen. Then you can start reactivating one-by-one until you find the culprit.

If it’s an issue with your theme as I suspect, I’m afraid you’ll need to contact support for X theme to ask them if they have any idea why the styles and scripts aren’t being loaded.

    Thanks for the quick response.

I’ll ask the support people at X if they know why the scripts and styles aren’t loading. As you say, I suspect it’s the theme that’s the problem.

I’ll update you when I get a response.

    Hi

this is the response from X theme support:

There are two javascript errors which say jQuery is not defined. The script is executed earlier before even the jQuery is loaded. jQuery is built-in to WordPress and not by theme or plugin.

    Does it help?

    Hi stevethefootycoach,

I’m afraid they haven’t understood the problem. The Business Profile plugin normally loads a JavaScript file on the frontend, but this isn’t even being loaded.

The errors they mention would cause problems for my script. But they would only be a problem if the script was being loaded.

    Hi

    jut thought I’d update you.

The problem was too many optimization plugins. It was like caching the cache of another cache from another cache. I turned them off. Your plugin works now.

Glad you were able to get it worked out. Thanks for letting me know what the issue was in the end.
