Form Not Being Received Host doesn’t handle email

So, it’s clear that

• The contact form is working, and
• MX records for the domain are missing.

Right? I think the email host should explain what is going on.

The MX records are not with the hosting. It’s an email service provider. Their IT swears it’s not their mail servers and that it’s with either the host or the plugin. Is it possible that fact that the host is not handling their domain email interfering with sending forms to the domain name? It’s the only other thing I can think of.

I deal with DNS and all the good stuff like MX that comes along with it regularly. I’ll try and help you if I can.

I’ve read through the conversation above, and it looks like the domain in question is strictlypediatrics.com. I looked up the MX records for this domain and can see that it runs on Microsoft 365. I also checked out the SPF records, which helps recipient servers to know whether or not the sending server is likely to be false/spam. Your web hosting IP (198.1.122.91) is correctly in the SPF, so you’re all good on that front.

Are you using any kind of SMTP plugin on your site, such as PostSMTP? If you’re not, it might be worth installing either this, or a similar plugin. You can then relay your mail over SMTP and PostSMTP will even give you a mail log and helpful diagnostic information.

If I had to guess, it sounds to me like the Microsoft 365 mail server on strictlypediatrics.com is deleting/quarantining your contact form submissions before they can reach any end users mailbox. It’s quite tricky to find issues like that in Microsoft 365, so it’s possible their IT Staff might have missed it inadvertently.

So you don’t miss any submissions, if you’ve not already got it, Flamingo also developed by @takayukister is fantastic for logging submissions to your local site as a bit of a ‘backup’.
