My constant contact plugin is not sending leads to constant contact lists. They have flowed once or twice but has since stopped working. I have the opt-in button checked and have the setting checked to send leads immediately.

I have read all support documentation and threads and nothing is solving this so I am stuck exporting and uploading leads manually.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello,

Thank you for your patience as we get back into the swing of some things post festival holidays.

Have you enabled the Logging option from the support settings yet? If not yet, can you do so please? It’ll reveal a new menu item that should lead to any logs we have managed to capture thus far, and hopefully what may be holding things up for you.

Any major changes made to the site in general since it was known to be last working? I see you’re on version 1.9.1 which was the latest version as of this morning, so the 1.10.0 release won’t be a factor here.

I’m having similar issues, the plugin sends the notification email to say a person has signed up but the details are not added to the Constant Contact list.

In addition the debug log is not logging any activity which is making tracing the issue difficult.

It’s as if there is no connection, or limited connection to the CC API, but there are no errors to give clues.

If it’s relevant the site is hosted on Pantheon, are there any specific filesystem/server config requirements that might be causing issues?

@jonsi79 no known limitations, definitely none in terms of intentional ones. I am curious if the plugin is failing to create log files on the server, which you could reach out to Pantheon support to check if plugins should be able to do that. We put them into the Uploads folder, if memory serves me correct.

@constantcontact I’ve checked with Pantheon and wp-content/uploads is writable, so the logs should be updating (assuming that’s where they are stored)

With regards to the issue with adding to lists, there’s nothing in the CC admin settings that could be restricting these? I’ve tried various email providers (Gmail, Hotmail, custom) but all fail to be added to the list – even though the WP email notification comes through ok.

I’m also using PHP do_shortcode() in a template rather than adding to a page, would that explain any issues? I assume it’s treated the same but highlighting just in case.

Correct, uploads is where they should be going.

Do you have the setting to disable sending via cron enabled? or is it still unchecked and relying on the cron system?

Email provider shouldn’t matter much unless the whole provider has somehow been flagged as spammy by our API team.

All the sending to the lists happens after hitting submit on the form, so the usage of do_shortcode() only handles the display of the form in the first place.

Just submitted to the form linked above, let us know if anything shows up in logs or your Constant Contact list. Hopefully something does, so we know it’s either working now or we have an error to work with.

I think the form you’re referring to is from the original poster, but your tip regarding cron seems to have worked.

Checking the box ‘Bypass Constant Contact cron scheduling’ seems to have fixed the issue as emails are now getting added to CC and the debug log is recording activity.

    Thanks for your help!
