    Hello

I’ve run into some issues while creating my first form with this plugin. Whenever I try to save the form, it brings up this message: “Error!!! At least one field is required, field user_pass”

Does this mean that a Password field is a requirement for the form? If so, is there any way to make passwords visible to admins? This is essential for me and is why I’ve replaced the default Password field with a text input field and labelled this user_pass.

Despite this, I’m still getting the error so not sure what else to do.

Any help would be really appreciated, thanks in advance!

  • Hello Huda,

Yes. Password field is a required field during registration. Since this is a registration form, user should be allowed to login via the username/email and password provided during registration. And no, this password field is not visible to the admins too. If you drag and drop extra password field along with the default password field, you (Admin) can view that password.

Hi and thanks for the fast response.

So if I add another ‘Password Field’, that password will be visible to me even while it appears encrypted when typing?

    Many thanks.

    Hello again,

Yes, if you add the extra password field it will be visible to you even it appears encrypted when typing. However, note that the default password field is required in the registration form too, and it won’t be visible to you too.

    Thanks,

Excellent, I’ll try it out and hopefully it works.

Also, is there any way to hyperlink the form Submit button to another page such as a payment page?

    Thanks.

No, adding hyperlink to the form submit button is not available. However, you can redirect to any page/URL after registration. Navigate to User Registration->Settings->General->Redirect URL.

Also, if you want payments for your form, we have the payments(paypal) premium add-on which allows you to collect payment before user can successfully register and login.

    Thanks!

    That’s great, thanks.

Regarding the emails, do these brackets ‘{}’ need to be filled in manually with the relevant details?

Also, I’m not sure what’s meant by the Success Message ‘Email Confirmation to login’? Can these messages be disabled at all?

And last, I see the user account settings section but how can I view the account page itself?

    Many thanks.

    Hello @huda1987,

No. You don’t need to filled the {}. Those are the smart tags and will be automatically replaced by relevant details while sending emails.

Yes, You can disable all the emails from user registration. Navigate to User Registration->Settings->Emails->Disable Emails. Note that if you have ‘Email Confirmation to login’ option selected from User Registration->Settings->User Login Options, you can’t disable this email, since it’s the option to verify the valid user.

You can add the shortcode [user_registration_my_account] to any page, and the page will be my account page.

Let us know if you have any further confusion.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

    That’s great.

One other question- I want to make the Account page accessible only to Logged In users – is there a way to enforce this?

Many thanks for your help so far.

    Hello,

I’ve since sorted out the last question so ignore that – looks like everything is good to go so no more questions for now.

Thanks again for all your help!
