    Hi,

Our form was working fine for a week, collecting 43 bookings.

All of a sudden, yesterday, without us having changed anything on our server, with the plugin, or with the page where the bookings form is embedded, the form has stopped appearing on the page, and the page only freezes.

For troubleshooting, I changed the form injection from direct to classic and back as instructed in FAQ, no help. We have updated to the most recent version of the plugin, also no help.

What could be the issue here? How could we start collecting bookings again?

    Thank you for your help.

    Alex

    Hi,

An update: earlier on Saturday afternoon, we received a single email notification about a successful booking, so apparently the form came back up online briefly. However, most of the time when we check the webpage, the form simply isn’t there, and the page freezes as described. Normally, we’d be getting dozens of bookings daily, or at least several bookings per day, because our April 8-9 event is getting closer and we expect a three-digit amount of guests to attend.

Any help from you will be appreciated! Right now, we’re extremely disappointed, because it appears that this plugin cannot really be relied on to do serious business. We’ve collected 44 bookings so far, but what about the dozens of other attendees?

If there’s any remedy, please let us know. Switching from direct to classic form injection method, or back, does not help.

    Thank you,
    Alex

    Hi,

If you have defined “only date” rules then be sure to mark those weekdays as “working dates” to avoid that issue. Check this:

Thank you for using the plugin!

    Hi,

Thank you for your help but, unfortunately, this has not resolved the issue. ?? If you wish, I could create a temporary admin account for you to verify the settings, but they are as shown in the screenshot, and the form still does not appear, and the page continues freezing. Some browsers (Firefox, SeaMonkey…) generate error messages saying: “A script is slowing down your webpage, do you wish to stop it?”

I made the change, based on your screenshot, many hours ago, giving the issue time to resolve itself, but so far, it has not. Very occasionally and briefly (just like on Saturday for one event attendee), the form may appear as it should, but if you, right there, open an incognito window in the same browser and try to open the page there, the form again does not appear, and the page freezes. Switching between “classic” and “direct” form loading options does not help.

It’s mystifying because for the first 7 days or so, the plugin was working just wonderfully, the webpage with the form was loading blazingly fast every time. Suddenly after about 7 days, everything collapsed.

Thank you for any further help that you might provide!

    Hi Alex,

The form generated in that page still has the weekdays(working dates) unchecked. The page may be cached by some server side cache plugin. Please be sure to clear the server side cache after updating the settings.

Updating to the latest plugin version (1.3.48 or later) is also a solution, but you will get a message “No more slots available” if the working dates aren’t marked. Clearing the server side cache is also required after the plugin update.

There may be other configuration issue there, please check the min-date set in your page, it may be set to a date later than the available dates. Location of the min-date settings field:

Please don’t offer access to the settings area, that isn’t needed for the assistance. Note also that this is a public forum, be sure to don’t paste sensitive info here.

    Thank you!

Thank you very much for your assistance! It must have been the server-side cache that was interfering. It took an entire day or so after my previous reply above, but afterwards, the form again started working properly. Thank you again!

    Alex
