    Hi,

I am using empowered blue with google adsence theme – link is here – https://www.macmillan-academy.org.uk/staff_blogs/mrking/

I have created two additional pages and allowed comments for both pages, however, unlike other themes, this one does not seem to have a form at the bottom of the page to allow for comments.

Can anyone suggest which file I need to edit, or how I might go about getting this form available?

    Thanks

    Adrian

    Does anyone have any ideas?

Is this just a limitation of the theme. What file can I look at to add this form onto newly generated pages?

    Thanks

    Adrian

First off, this is the forum for WordPress issues, not theme issues. I’d start by contacting the theme designer.

That being said, you can find a copy of the form for comments in the default template files. Compare the two and figure out what it is you need from one to the other.

    Hi doodlebee,

Thanks for your comments, they are very helpful. I can copy the form of the default template files, but what I really need to know, is where would this code then be pasted into?

Which file do I need to edit?

    Thanks

    Hi,

I have managed to resolve this issue, thanks for your replies.

I do however get a squiffy design if I DO NOT allow comments.

I have created such a page for you to look at (if you do not mind)

As you can see from this link – https://www.macmillan-academy.org.uk/staff_blogs/mrking/?page_id=13

The navigation bar is in the main content area. On the resources page however (where I have ALLOWED comments) the design is fine.

    Any suggestions would be great.

    Thanks

    Thanks.

Hi I’m using the default theme and have this problem also – the pages just don’t have the comments form on them.

That’s how it is supposed to be. Most themes do NOT have comments on Pages. I know I would hate comments on my Contact Page or About…

Anyway, it’s a personal taste issue. Create a Page template with the call for the comments template, and write your new Page using that template.
