I started using this after a few months of perfect integration. The data is sending over correctly, however it is all offset to the right about 15 cells from where it should be. So if the header is in column A, the data is placed over in column P. I have tried this with and without “Automatically generate header for all fields” selected and there is no change.

Weird – never seen this before.
Are you using the latest version 2.3?
Try to create a new tab, manually copy data to it and change tab name in the Processor configuration.

I found the issue! There was an empty header cell among all my normal ones in the first row of the sheet. The new entries were aligning to the right of that blank cell instead of to where they were supposed to be. When I filled in the heading with something, it started aligning the data properly again.

Thank you so much for making this plugin, it’s been a godsend and aside from little things like this it’s worked wonderfully.

    Hi Alex,

I’ve been having similar issues for a little while too. Form entries appear in the correct sheet but shifted over by about 15 columns.

A second entry will then be offset to the right of that entry.

The entries are listed in the same order as the headers in the sheet, and no new headers are created over the new columns. So each time someone fills in the form I drag/copy-paste the new row into column A.

I’ve tried starting new sheets and it tends to work fine to begin with, but then starts to go awry.

I have no blank headers in the top row of the sheet like witticaster had. I’m at a bit of a loss.

    Kind regards,

    Steven

    Weird.
Can you share with me copy of your sheet – or part of it – so that I understand what you’re talking about? My email address is [email protected]

    Sent, thank you.

    Hi Alex,

Any ideas what’s happening to cause this? Thanks.

Sorry – been really busy with other stuff and still didn’t look at it. Will try to find some time next week.

    Hi Alex,

    Any progress on this one?

I started a new enquiry form five days ago and this has just happened again.

After 7 entries all successfully aligned, the 8th started in column J (despite that having a header for a different field) and then proceeds from there.

The 9th entry started in column AG, then 10th entry in column BC.

    Kind regards,

    Steven

I think your problems are due to the fact that your tab name included SPACE in it.
Try changing it from “ONLINE TERM” to “ONLINE_TERM” and see if the problem goes away.

Thanks Alex, I’ll give this a go.

Sadly it hasn’t worked. Changing Master Sheet to MasterSheet and Online Term to Online_Term has still resulted in the entries sitting under incorrect columns.

Are we talking about new entries?
I can’t seem to reproduce this on my setup. And from the way data appears, it looks like for some reason “<tab_name>!1:1” selection on your spreadsheet returns invalid result…

    Hi Alex,

Sorry for the slow response – I didn’t realise you had replied.

We are talking about new entries. And not the first couple of new entries, which work fine (I set up a new spreadsheet and created a new Caldera form). But about 15 entires in it started again, inputting everything to the right hand side of the previous entry. Then everything to the right hand side of that. And on and on.

I’m not sure what you mean by “<tab_name>!1:1” selection on your spreadsheet returns invalid result….

    Best,

I created a sample form with the same slug names as you use, configured it to write data into a copy of the Sheet that you shared with me and everything worked just fine. Did it several times – but all entries were in a new row and aligned as expected…
    I’m sorry but I’m out of ideas…

    Thanks Alex.

I really appreciate your testing this. I wonder what is causing it. It’s plagued a couple of different forms/sheets now so it’s not an isolated event.

It must be some sort of interaction with one of the other processors I suppose, though strange it only seems to do this after 15 or so entries.

Anyway, never mind you can’t keep chasing it. We’ll keep copying and pasting into the correct places until we find a new solution!
