• Hi. I have just installed Contact Form 7 4.6.1 onto my WP 4.7.2 website. I created a test page using the Default Template with the default shortcode only but the form is not showing except for the Send button. Tested on Chrome Version 55.0.2883.87 m (64-bit) and Windows 10 Edge. In Edit Page visual mode, only the shortcode is showing

The site is using a very old Kingsize theme.

However, the form is showing nicely on the mobile site using WPTouch, tested and received an email.

    Am I missing something?

  • Hello,

We are the creators of that theme, OWMLabs from Themeforest:

    https://bit.ly/2csLOPT

This is a premium theme and if purchased, you’d have access to the theme updates.

You’re using version 3.3 of our theme, released in 2011.

We are now on version 5.1.11 which is fully responsive and wouldn’t require a plugin such as WPTouch. We can also confirm that our theme is fully compatible with Contact Form 7 as of it’s more recent versions. The version you are using was not technically tested with it.

As a buyer, you also gain access to our buyer support:

    Hope this helps.

    Kind regards,

Thanks for your reply. The site was created by another developer. I am updating it for my friend who owns the site. He requested I add the mobile site. We don’t have access to the original developer who has all the keys so I’m merely doing workarounds. The desktop contact form does not work using WPTouch. That’s why I decided to replace it with a plugin. At the moment I have replaced Contact Form 7 with WPForms Lite which is working on both desktop and mobile. Eventually, I hope to persuade my friend to revamp his site totally but at the moment, he’s still old school.
