    Hi there,

I have a few questions/clarifications to make about this plugin:

    1. The form settings for the font, background, button, etc. dissapeared although I was able to access them a week ago. WHy is this? Do I need to upgrade in order to customize my forms?

    2. Does the form settings on the plugin override any styles made on infusionsoft web-form creator?

    3. Some of my forms include “custom fields” that are intended to provide searchable values in the contacts … however, I can’t customize the font style of these fields on my form because they are pre-filled values and unable to be customized. I was wondering if I can do this with the plugin.

    4. I noticed that the forms do not automatically update if any changes are made to the web-form on Infusionsoft. Is this correct? Is there a way to automatically sync the changes rather than having to re-upload the form?

    5. The blue rows of values (i.e. custom: custom_html_187) are confusing when I upload the form and I am not sure if I need to do anything there or just ignore that section? I ask because have no experience with html.

    6. I’d love to see a video from start to finish about how to use this plugin effectively and what its benefits are. Specifically, I’d love to see examples of how to customize forms and any best practices.

    7. What is the benefit of using this plugin over simply copy/pasting the code of a form from Infusionsoft into your website?

Sorry for the overload of questions. Thank you in advanced.

Oh boy, quite the list… well here we go.

#1 if you registered for the free trial, you would have had access to Individual form styling for a week. After the trial expires, it automatically shuts off. And starts using the default settings only. Other premium tools are also shut off.

#2 if you are referring to the main Settings vs the settings in the form, the ones in the form take precedence. the settings panel provides a default style so you don’t have to set each option for every form each time.

#3 not quite sure what you mean. ALL fields are customizable in formlift.

#4 Nope. you have to re-import every time, it’s an unfortunate reality.

#5 You can delete most of it. But it allows you to place images, paragraphs and what not inside your form. Automatically FormLift includes <script> tags, but they aren’t neccessarily used and can be deleted. they will not affect your form one way or ther other.

    #6 We’re working on it.

#7 Well, I thought it was self explanatory. But there are a few reasons. #1 it performs client side validation, so if a user messes up their input it doesn’t automatically send them to the infusionsoft hosted web from. #2 it makes styling incredibly easy. #3 the premium toolkit is extensive and provides a great reCaptcha system to prevent spam.
If you don’t know html, then this makes putting forms on your website much easier.

    Hi Adrian

Thanks for your thorough and prompt reply. It was very helpful.

I am editing one of my forms and for some reason the form color and border are not updating.

Other styles like button, fields, etc. work though.

    Any reason why?

    Thank you.

I do not know, the Form Background color should work fine. Your theme may have conflicting CSS?

set your form width to 100% and see if it works then.

    Thanks.

I just have one more question.

I’d like to add a second button to our form that reads “Call Us”, but I don’t know what code to include.

We already have a button that says “Subscribe Now”. Infusionsoft web-forms do not have that capability, unfortunately.

Also, where would I include that code?

    Appreciate your help.

I don’t quite understand the question. When you add the second button what would you like to have happen exactly? Does it submit the form AND then launch a call action?

To add a second button, click on the add custom field button at the top of the form, and from the type dropdown select button.

Yes, I just wanted to add 2 buttons. Thanks, I was able to do it by adding a custom field like you said, however I can’t figure out how to place them side by side? Right now the second button is placed underneath the first button.

Also, my form is pretty long. Is there a way I can shorten the length of the form and have the user progress through it by clicking to new pages?

When you’re looking at the form editor, every blue row has a size selection next to the edit pencil. Click on it and it will allow you to resize the row to 1/2. do that for both buttons and they will appear next to each other

Awesome. And what about shortening the length of the form and allowing them to click to the next pages?

For example, I’d like to display 5 questions on the first page, then they would click “next”, questions on the next page, and so on.

That’s not really FormLift’s cup of tea. You can break the form into multiple forms, remove the POST url from the submission settings, collect all the data you need, set a bunch of hidden fields…

It would be a process but doable. I can send you a work order If you’d like me to take care of it for you?

Yes, I would greatly appreciate that! Thank you.

Another issue – Whenever I try to import form settings from a different form, I get this error:

    This page isn’t working.
(website) is currently unable to handle this request.
    HTTP ERROR 500

There are a number of know issues that i’m ticking off one by one. It’s on the list ??
