In fact, we’ve migrated our staging site to replace our live site. We forgot to reinitialize the kit site before going live. And now we have this message:
Your site may not be ready for Site Kit
    google_api_connection_fail

I think we need to force a reset on your side. to finally reconnect our live site with the Google Site Kit!

    Thanks in advance

Hi @synthubert, thanks for getting in touch and providing the insights. The google_api_connection_fail error message is not one we would usually associate with a records mismatch. We more commonly see this when there is an issue with your site connecting with IPv6.

Typically when IPv6 addresses are blocked, it is because your IP address falls within a specific range that includes users from regions where Google services are blocked. We do now have a solution for this.

Please can you follow the steps below:

    • Download this mini-plugin, which allows Site Kit setup over IPv4 instead of IPv6
    • Upload the plugin file on your site by going to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin
    • Once installed, try setting up Site Kit again

If this doesn’t resolve the issue then please let me know and we can do some further troubleshooting. If you have any questions on the above information then let me know.
