forget admin user name and password

I seem to have forgotten my username and password for my WordPress site, and I’m not sure what to do. Can you help me with the steps to reset my password and recover my username? I’m not very familiar with WordPress, and I’m not sure if I need to contact my website administrator or if I can do it on my own.
