Forever theme – full post showing on homepage issue

On the homepage of my blog https://www.dreamingindenver.com, using the forever theme version 1.2.1, before I upgraded to the new version 3.8.1 of WordPress my homepage looked correct with the recent posts having the featured image and the excerpt of the article with the continue reading link.
Now the featured image of any new post I try to upload is not showing and the entire blog post is on the homepage not just the excerpt ?

All the other blog posts look correct

Is there a post you can show me that is displaying in its entirety, without the featured image? What I see now looks like the excerpts with featured images – here’s a screenshot:

I’m not sure where those square brackets are coming from, but could you open up that post in the dashboard and see if there are any stray spaces after the title, and remove them if there are?
