Forever free not so free anymore
-
I’ve been happily using MailerLite for a couple of years now.
Recently users were told we needed to migrate from the Free Classic Account to the new?MailerLite?before Feb 1st, 2024.
“To continue enjoying the exceptional value of the Free plan,?you must?move to a Free plan?in the new?MailerLite?now.” I was informed.
I’d get to enjoy premium features for 30 days, it said..
After jumping through the hoops to migrate and I was then encouraged to authenticate my domain to keep Google et al happy.
After doing all this, however, I had problems with the template for my RSS campaign that I had transitioned to the new platform.
Support was very helpful and after a few false starts I got the campaign working again.
Hurrah!
What support or the transition team failed to point out was that RSS Campaigns are in fact no longer supported under the new free plan.
You have to pay for this feature.
I only discovered this by accident when I realised that my campaign had stopped working.
I only have around 100 subscribers and send just 6 x emails a week.
Not a lot.
Shame on you MailerLite for not being upfront about this!
