forcing user browsers to see most recent updates
-
I have been trying to work out how to set up our company website so that when we make changes on our back end – like replacing an image with an updated version after adding something like a water mark or adding a fix down the track, all users will see the change immediately without having to clear their browser cache.
I have been unsuccessful so far.
We used to use the WP super cache plugin regularly until I noticed it interfering with our editing capabilities, which required me to uninstall the plugin every time I had to make a change, re-enable and recache, which still yielded an un-updated result for our users.
(I am aware there is some extra cleaning up to do with WP super cache after uninstalling the plugin but did not manage to get rid of it.)I guess I’d like to know if by-passing all users browser cache to show the most recent updates every time is even possible to do for a start and if it is, how do I go about making it happen?
Is there a method to use every time? Even if it is a pain, I’m happy to go through it every time so long as our customers see the updates immediately. Thanks in Advance!!
