  • Hi @malawimama

I wanted to let you know about the new checkout blocks we’ve introduced to enhance your checkout experience. These blocks are designed to make the process more intuitive and user-friendly. But don’t worry, if your theme doesn’t have built-in blocks, it won’t cause any problems with your checkout process. Everything will continue to function as it does now.

Please note that by not using blocks, you may miss out on some of the new features and enhancements that come with them. On the other hand, we’re happy to help you if you encounter any issues or need assistance with the transition.

Great, so if we customize our checkout templates we can just remove any code for blocks, correct? We do not plan to use Blocks at all in our themes, it’s too clunky and doesn’t allow us to provide a smooth and intuitive interface for our clients (unless they improve it someday, we’ll keep using Classic).

    Hi @malawimama

Yes, you’re correct. If you’re customizing your checkout templates and do not plan to use Blocks, you can indeed remove any code pertaining to Blocks. While Blocks offer added features, it’s not mandatory to use them, and your site will continue to function as it currently does without them.

I hope this clarifies your concern. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

I am using clear WordPress latest version + latest Woocommerce. The default Woocommerce mode on the Checkout page is Blocks. I’ve tried different themes, including very old ones, but still can not get Woocommerce to work in old template mode.

How can I get rid off the Woocommerce Block mode and use old templates? Is it possible without coding?

    Thank you for this answer.

    Hi @epsiloncool,

As mentioned in my above reply, you can remove the WooCommerce block from all pages, including the cart and checkout. You can then use the WooCommerce built shortcode that we’ve listed here: https://woo.com/document/woocommerce-shortcodes/

While we don’t typically recommend it, you do have the option to use an older WooCommerce version (it may be worth trying 8.2.2 or below) as a workaround.

I hope this clarifies your concern. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Thanks, @shameemreza, I’ve replaced whole /checkout/ page content by the [woocommerce_checkout] shortcode at it works! Strange that I was not able to google this simple solution by myself ??
