force_ssl_admin breaking post/page search?

  • I’m seeing a rather odd issue that seems to indicate that force_ssl_admin, when set to true, breaks the ability to search posts/pages within wp-admin. Attempting to search results in a redirect back to the https:// index of my site. Looking at my apache logs, it’s a 301 redirect.

    Disabling (setting to false) force_ssl_admin, allows things to work again.

    Anyone else seen this? I thought I would get some input here before filing a bug…

    Issue is the robots meta plugin. If you check “Redirect search results pages when referrer is external” it sees the search request coming from https as external (I guess), and redirects the search to the index.

    Will file a bug report with author.
